How do I move my cases to a
new computer?
1. If you have a copy of RadFiler installed on the
new machine uninstall all copies of RadFiler from your new machine. Delete the
RadFiler folder (usually C:\Program Files\RadFiler).
2. Copy all the files from your CD/old machine (all
the files that were in the RadFiler folder on your original machine) into a
folder on your new machine (say C:\Program Files\RadFiler). If you copied from
a CD these files will be read-only. Make sure to remove the read only flag
from them. Do this by right clicking and deselecting the read-only check box.
You can apply this to all subfolders. At this point the folder should contain
TFile1.mdb a folder called Images and a Folder called Notes as well as some
other files. (Actually the key files to transfer over are TFile1.mdb, Images
Folder, Notes Folder and Dictionary Folder)
3. Install the latest version of RadFiler using the
setup file (latest download from the web). When asked where to install,
install into the SAME FOLDER that all of these files are located.
4. Enter your username and password to register. You
can use the same username and password you had originally.
Do I need PowerPoint installed to export cases to
PowerPoint?
Yes,
you need PowerPoint 97 or 2000 installed on your computer.
Does RadFiler support all DICOM files?
No,
RadFiler supports most raw DICOM files in both Implicit and Explcit VR
formats as well as triplane color (RGB) and has limited support for lossy
JPEG. There is no support for multiframes as yet, lookup tables or JPEG-LS.
Please email any image files to us you would like supported and we will try
and incorporate them in the future .
Does RadFiler support video?
RadFiler
supports video EXPORT to AVI or MPEG1. All images must be of the same size.
RadFiler does NOT support cataloging of AVI or MPEG files as yet although
this is planned for future releases.
Does RadFiler work with Windows 2000/XP?
We have
not had any reports of problems on Windows 2000/XP systems.
Does RadFiler export to DICOM?
RadFiler
can read DICOM files but does not write DICOM files.
Is there networking support?
Peer to
peer networking has just been released.
Is there foreign language support?
Currently
there is only support for English. Depending on the level of international
support for this product foreign language support might be considered in
future development.
Can I export DICOM cases to jpg or tiff?
Yes.

How do I backup RadFiler?
You
should perform regular backups. Backup the RadFiler folder on your hard
drive using any commercial backup program. Should you need to recover the
data simply perform restore the RadFiler folder on your machine.
